How do I change splash logos
 

How do I change the splash logos on startup? I would love to have some of my own stuff pop up, even if just for a moment.


Also, a big thanks!! This is the site I visit the most re: EQ2! More than the SOE forums and others! You have made my gameplay much more enjoyable. I feel like it is MY GAME now. I have no clue on how you guys do it, I will just sit back and enjoy the fruits of you r labor!

The Splash Logo's are stored in a ".dds" file in your Defaut UI folder. Don't remember the exact name of the file off the top of my head. If you had softwre that could open and manipulate the .dds format I suppose you could change the Logo's, but be careful back up the file before you go and modify it. It could very well be hard coded to look for a specific CRC Value on that file, and may be hard coded to look for the exact size and dimensions of the logo's that are currently there.

You can. They are all in \images\frontend\, just edit the dss files. You cant remove the click/pauses.

My fav is the dell ->eq2interface swap

Insom... That's Awesome... I don't own a Dell that can run the game (my Mom does but that's besides the point) I swaped that file out in mine.... Totally Awesome....

I know Incubis did it in their mod, they put an EQ2 Interface Logo in!

In the SOE file there are alot of weird login screens..........

You can do it with photoshop and a plugin. (if you have ps)
