error opening eq2 exe.
 
this is the error its giving me

running win 7 just got new PC never had a problem before with eqmaps

when i click the eq2 folder nothing happens so i click the exe. it self and i get the error

It looks like you missed a few characters on that last line, but I know that is probably says "is denied" at the end.
Please try to check the FAQs and Stickied topics first: READ FIRST: Common Problems (and solutions)

It looks like you just need to run the program as Administrator. Right click and click the Run As Administrator, or right click your shortcut -> Properties, and check box under the Compatibility tab.

Same Issue
 
I have it installed on the other 3 computer with no problems. I installed it and after it updates I get the same message to open it manually. I am running windows 7 also. I tried the compatability tab , run as administrator and same thing each time.:mad::confused:

Well, these constant repeat questions of people like you not reading the sticky threads are already tiring enough on their own, doesn't make it better if you post them in unrelated topics (as well as being rude towards the thread creator, who of course falls into the same category of not reading stickies).
