Bottom Bar problem?
 

I'm hoping someone here can help me. I'm running EQ2 at 1280x800 resolution with the 1280 bottom bar selected. I'm pretty sure it was working fine when I first installed it, but the last couple of days I've noticed that the bottom bar seems to be overlapping itself in the bottom left corner as if for some reason it thinks it should be using a longer bar. I've gone into the updater variants and switched to 1024 and back to 1280 but the problem still occurs. I've also tried reloading the 1280x800 uisettings with no luck. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Hmm Had a look at mine to and it is doing the same ,didn't notice it till I read this
my Resolution is 1600 x 900 Windowed,still does the same when I try full screen

Still no word on what is causing this issue or how it can be resolved? It can't just be Ixoa and I having this problem.

You can control the max width of the bottom bar from the Profit Control Center.

Are you talking about the button that maximizes the width? The window that makes up the bar is already stretched across the screen so clicking this button doesn't seem to do anything. I assume the window is already the proper size and it's just the contents that seem to be bugged, if that makes any sense.

It is not an issue. It is a feature. (feel a little like apple now) It is the spot that allows the bar to slide to different widths and so it overlaps another bar. Use one of the other variants and try sizing them to see if you can get one that does not happen to have the break where there are numbers.

Can you elaborate please? I am running at 1280x800 and have the "screen width at least 1280 (default)" variant selected. The only smaller variant is 1024 which leaves half the bar empty.

I am still having this problem :(

This is another thing I need to put on my todo list. I'm not sure when but I will be redoing the bottom bars in the future.

I have the same issue on my laptop at 1280x800 but not on the desktop system at 1680x1050. It looks to me like there just isn't enough room to fit everything in 1280 pixels as currently configured. I'm using the same variant that htmlartist is using.

If you guys want to test something for me I have been working on a customizable bottom bar. It consists of two files _ProfitUI_BottomBar and _ProfitUI_BottomBar_Settings. You just extract them from the zip and put them in your profitui folder.

To change what elements show on the bar you edit _ProfitUI_BottomBar_Settings and change the value for visibile to true for anything you want to see and false for what you don't want to see. There are data items and dividers.

You must reload the ui or the game after changing the settings file to see your changes.

If you do try it please let me know what comments you have.

This is extremely preliminary, but my first reaction is favorable. The new layout fits the 1280 screen width with no overlap at default settings.

I also like the flexibility of being able to decide exactly what elements I want displayed.

I'll be watching to see if there are any issues with the new bar.

Sounds good. I want to make it updateable via the ui but that is not going to happen real soon. Let me know if you experience any issues.

I have having problems with the bottom bar as well. I went from having a 20" WS LCD to a 17" CRT. My bottom bar was fine when it was set to 1440x900 but when I went to 1024x768 or 1280x1024 I have my bottom bar over lapping. I have a screenshot of me trying to adjust what is shown but that doesnt seem to work at all.

I went into The Updater program and went into the varients window and selected the bottom bar and hit dafault. I am guessing there is a config file I was missing. I deleted all the Profit UI files in the UI folder. Then went and downloaded them again and nothing would let me change it. After I set that to default and downloaded the file I logged in and seen my selections were being shown

If you are using any variants what I'm about to tell you to do will reset them all so you will have to select them again.

In the profit updater click the settings button in the top left. Click updater on the menu that appears and then click reset all settings. Repatch and reselect any variants you were using besides the bottom bar variant.
