How do you use the log file for combat stats?

Hi There all,

I was in a group a few days ago and one player could produce the damage stats for the encounter. I asked him how and he said he used a log file. I have been looking around and can't find any info on this.

Anyone know how to set this up or have a link to a good resource for setting it up? I was also told for healers you could set up a total healing stats hotkey for an encounter too.

Thanks

And make sure you turn the Log on using the /log file in game.

Awesome,Thanks guys! Exactly what I was searching for. Looks like they don't log heals though which is dissapointing for a templer :(

I suppose if there is just one healer you can calculate that on total damage the mob inflicts, but i suppose you then have to consider rune type absorbtion spells too........

Hmmm will do a little more research on this aspect.

Check out the patch notes again.

- Heal amounts are now sent to the chat window, as in "You heal for X hit points." A healing subcategory has been added to the chat options.
