Fog Issue

I have tried to place the old plugin_9.xml in various places and i still cant remove the fog.
I was wondering if there a trick to placing it or if there is an updated plugin or if its been removed completely.
Sorry if this is the wrong section was posted in eq2map section too.

It's the new map system. The fog now isn't just a layer over the full map, the client only fills in the part of the map image you're actually able to see. There isn't any way anymore for a UI mod to control that.

Actually the fog is a layer and it is defined in core_blankmapstyles.xml (for some SOE maps it is hardcoded).

I hate the fog with all my soul

And they busted my old "hack" :p

The attached xml file will remove fog from all the EQ2Map provided maps as well as many of the SOE provided dungeon maps (however like GM9 pointed out for many of the maps it is hard coded e.g. velious)

Just copy the file into uifoldername/eq2map/ folder and overwrite the existing file. Might want to add it to the ignore list in the updater as well

Note: I don't know what the result will be when a new map is added to EQ2Map; it will probably have black fog over it until the imagestyle is manually added to the attached file.
