Default UI Skin Question.
 

Hello all. I am still kinda new to EQ2 and all the addons here. I do use a little bit modified version of Profit UI... and by modified I mean some windows hidden :)

Anyhow I do like the looks of the new default UI the added in GU57. Is there anyway to use that skin but ProfitUI features?

Oh nevermind. I should have really tried harder to do it to start with. Basically I tore down Profit to just the Market (Broker) panel and functions. I then added all the bits and pieces I like back like the hotbars, groups and such. Worked like a charm.

There is a seperate install of the market window, if you prefer that, but the some of the other pieces may not work correctly without the XP bar.

The XP bar contains the code for the class detection that is used by a number of the other UI pieces.

You will probably run into problems with the Group/Raid windows if you want to use the click-to-cure or the quick cast buttons.

There are other dependencies but I don't remember them all off the top of my head.

Actually I just like the background of the default UI.. Like the border and the red/blue background.

So actually to get it to use the default skin you have to goto your EQ2 folder and then UI\ProfitUI\images

Then delete:

Commonelements.dds
window_elements_generic.dds
window_elements_specific.dds
windowelements.dds


That did it for me. Everything else worked ok.. The exp bar stays the same, and all the rest of the windows work too.
