HELP!!!!!! first time installing a UI

Hey guys.

I wonder if any of you can help. I have downloaded the EQ2 Maps UI and i think i have it installed correctly as it runs and updates but then when i try to exit i get the following error message:

Failed to Save config file:
Access to the path 'C:\ProgramData\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II\UI\EQ2MAP\eq2map_config.cfg' is denied.

I dont know what im doing wrong as i thought that i had followed the instructions to the letter.

Also I have had to unistall and reinstall the launcher because after i installed the UI the laucher just kept getting stuck and wouldnt load.

I really am a complete noob at the and am a bit at my wits end. So if any of you could possiblyt help me out that would be great.

Thank You x

Possible causes

You have to make sure that the "UI directory" is right. (Default, FetishNightfall, whatever) Find the file. Check to make sure it is not Read Only.

This address ( 'C:\ProgramData\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II\UI\EQ2MAP\eq2map_config.cfg' ) probably means you are running Windows 7.

On the map updater hit Options, Where it says Everquest 2 make sure it points to 'C:\ProgramData\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II\.

The same with the Station Launcher. Make sure they are NOT looking at Program Files or Program Files (x86).

The updater should not be installed in your eq2 folder, use the default from the installer.
Rightclick the updater icon and run it as admin.
Then check updater options and make sure the path are right.
