Sound ability on chat?
 

Hello,

I am looking for a way to have group chat make a sound when I get a new message, is this something that can be done?

I am not sure exactly where to ask this question so figured this thread was good.

i could be wrong but i dont think this is possible. I know you can replace some existing sounds like the /tell sound and levelup sound but i dont hink you can add sound to something that doesnt already have one associated with it.

That is a bummer, guess I got spoiled by all the options you can do in WoW.

I tend to not notice my chat unless it makes a sound and the person I play with always is unable to speak. Guess I will have to find some solution myself, I had hoped EQ2 would of updated their chat system by now (had left back in early 2005 because of this issue when we discovered wow had many options available.)

I'm sure you can make a trigger in ACT that will make a sound everytime grp chat is used..
How to set it up I have no idea, but I know the trigger options is almost unending..

Maybe Someone else could help ya out here, if not I would suggest eq2flames, they have an ACT forum for this kind of question..

i know nothing about ACT as its primary function is of no interest to me and from what I understand its more of a seperate program than an eq2 mod. I hope you can get it to do what you want.
