If you are having trouble launching the ProfitUI updater...
 

If you're getting an error like this: "java.net.MalformedURLException: unknown protocol: socket"

1. Open Control Panel
2. Open the Java item
3. Click "Network Settings"
4. Select "Direct Connection"

And try again. This fixed the problem for me.
