EQ2map: green lines on map
 

Hi. First of all thanks to all who made EQ2maps! It's a life saver!!!

If this is posted somewhere sorry. I didnt see it.



I'm having two problems with EQ2maps. One problem is it will not open EQ2 anymore and has not since they patched EQ2 about a month ago. Something seemed to change with my patcher version when they did that. Anyway, I can update my files, use EQ2maps in game but cannot open EQ2 thru your eq2maps program. I get an error screen.

Second problem is green lines on my maps. This is recent (within last week or so). There are teal colored lines all over the map. Mostly toward the bottom of the map. This happens in mimi map as well as full sized map. It's not every zone that I'm seeing this. Mostly it's seen in older zones. I'm not sure if thats coincidence or not. Just wondering if it's something on my end. Is there a way to fix this?

Completely taking a shot in the dark here but graphical corruption like that is usually due to overheated or faulty hardware.

Can you take a screenshot of the green lines? That really does sound like graphical glitching either due to overheating for faulty drivers. If it doesn't show up on a screenshot (ie if the screenshot look normal but the game doesnt) then it's almost certainly an overheating or failing graphics card.

As for the first issue, go to options and hit the second browse button. Navigate to the patcher that you use in the directory listed in the properties of the shortcut you use to launch EQ2.

Map Issue
 

I have two thoughts on this

1) You prob just need to repoint tthe EQ2 map updater to your patcher (if you use the station launcher , point it to that)

2) a recent prob has popped up for folks since the last patch affecting the map background.. it varies from a blank cyan screen with floating icons to a regular map with lines or checkboards... here is the link for that.. you may want to take a look at it.. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/p...opic_id=481547

Strange blue lines on every map
 

I ran the map updater the other day and when I logged into the game afterward, all of my maps have these strange blue lines on the bottom. Every zone map has the same problem. Not really sure what the heck happened. I use ProfitUI as well, so I ran the updater for that to see if there was some sort of conflict but to no avail. I've posted a screenshot of it below. Any suggestions?

I have no idea how to fix it at the moment but people are saying that the problem has been fixed on the test server. Here are threads from SOE's forums about it:

Thanks for the replies. I did figure out the eq2 opening thing. But maps are still bugged. Some of my guildies saying the same thing.
