Baffled about the location icon
 

Yesterday I attempted to help with the icons of eq2map another user was having. In the process I got a different icon showing for where we click or get for doing /way. Its not a green x where before it was a golden color x with a smaller size than what the green one is showing. So I'm wondering which file this is in as I have tried all my backups and for the life of me can't find it. I even checked the alternate icon sets but still no luck.

Thanks for your help yesterday it was much appreciated, when you installed those map files how did you do it and which ones did you install?

I've got them on my main map showing in profit now but whilst my mini map in the corner shows the location marks, if I hover my mouse over them, it doesn't tell me the location name or tell me what it is.

I have to go into the full map to find that which is frustrating.

The process I did was to download VanGurk's 1.04 skin and then copy files

icon_eq2map.dds
icon_map1.dds
icon_map3.dds
icon_map4.dds
icon_map5.dds

This gave me the icons I wanted but has caused the issue above.

I originally tried to download just VanGurks map icons which only contained the file icon_map3.dds (which is the correct file for the actual icons) but this made no difference at all to the profit map.

I installed this icon_map3.dds file into profitui/images/icons

EQ2 is also fully upto date and these files are down as read only in my ProfitUI/Images/Icons folder.

Have I done something wrong or is there a tweak I can make to resolve?

ok well I sorted the missing map issue out.

My quest tracker was conflicting with the map so I had to resize it.

There is still a problem with those icons though.

See below, notice some of the yellow icons are different on the map.



I've just now got a really bad problem as well, if I click on my mini map for the waypoint wisp, the entire screen goes black and I have to relog to be able to see my character.


How did you sort it Papa? am keen to follow your lead here

Hmm having a play with things this appears to be a shader 3 issue?

If I take it off I don't get the problem, weird as it only happens with shader 3 on and when I click on the mini map?

There are a few new icons that soe has added that VanGurk is missing and thats why it don't work as its supose to do.
