background not showing
 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled EQ2 Maps. I have Updated. But everytime i log into EQ2 on both the mini map and the world map I can only see the PoIs and nothing else. How can i fix this problem to bring it back to normal?

Sounds like you folks might be having the issue described in common issue #3. Follow the solution there and make sure you don't have that extra clone of the map window in your uisettings.xml files.

I am also having this issue, but the fix is not valid for me. I have checked my character XML files and they do not have the referenced clone files. So I removed all of these files and restarted the client and the maps are still black, even with the new default files... any other suggestions?

Hmm, odd. Check your UI/<uifoldername>/images/maps folder and make sure the images are there. There should be about 258 images (.dds) in the folder.

Was your UI reset to default locations after you did that? Because if it wasn't you removed either the wrong files or the right files but in the wrong folder (the usual issue of multiple EQ2 installations).

i tried the solution but it doesn't work. my ui went back to the default locations. but my maps are still black and only shows PoIs.
