Error when tring to update
 
I have installed but after starting it up it tries to update and i get this error message.


Error Opening Database File: mscorlib
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity)
at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity)
at EQ2MAPUpdater.MainWindow.DownloadUpdates()Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\EQ2MAP Updater\cache\' is denied.


Cant aomeone post a fix for this. Its late and things be gettin fuzzy

If it was being run as an admin then you wouldn't be getting an 'access denied' error, not unless you're running two copies at once or have something else preventing access to the file.

Double-triple check that you are running it as an admin. You should also be able to right click and run it as an admin (one time) that way.

If you're already right clicking and choosing to run as administrator then you must have some other application stopping it. Either an over zealous malware app or virus scanner? Something is halting the program from writeing to its cache folder.

If you figure out what it is please let us know.

You may also want to try Landiins eq2map updater. It is written differently and you may have less trouble running his application... http://www.eq2interface.com/download...APUpdater.html

got it to work
 
I was testing a new malware program that was stopping it after i figured that out and stopped it ir ran just fine.
