Tried everyting..still not working
I was previously running an XP system with EQ2 installed on a drive other than my OS drive. EQ2maps was running fine. I have since rebuilt the system and am now running Windows 7 64bit. I reinstalled eq2maps and ensured that it points to the correct drive and directory for both the EQ2 exe and the EQ2 launcher. I can see in the UI folder that EQ2MAPS has installed and all updated maps are there. My EQ2.ini file seems fine (see below). I have set EQ2MAPS updater to run as admin as well as EQ2 itself. I have ensured that .NET Framework is installed (default Windows 7 installation). Nothing I do can get maps working. All I see is are the standard maps. I made sure POI filtering was set to show all. Any ideas? I'm at a loss here.
eq2.ini cl_ui_subdir UI/ cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP cl_ui_subdir UI/ cl_ui_skinname browser <---i added the multi-tab browser UI without issue |
You can't have 2 ui's listed. You have to put all ui mods in the same folder.
If the browser mod is the only other mod you use , copy it files to eq2map folder and remove its entry from the ini file. |
Thanks jnils! I didn't know that all UIs had to be in the same sub-folder of the UI folder. I assumed that each UI could be pathed in the ini and the game would sort it out. Moved the files and made the ini changes...everything works fine now!!
thanks again |
