yup, you're about as nerdy as I am... Id show you mine but really the only difference is mountains of mountain dew and pizza.

That is tacky!!! :) . You should see the weather vain my husband "elaberately" made. But that is a nifty set-up you got there. When my husband saw that pic he said, "step into my office" haha. I agree. Go Firiona!

I think the AC rocks. You go Kudane... you GO!

with 6 computers in here it STAYS hot. the AC was a must... |
So, during the winter all you do is turn them on, hehe, then you'll be warm... :p
My husband constantly tries to fix the back door. Each time it closes a piece of wood that holds the glass in pops off. So he's out there with a hammer, and duct tape, hammering away. Then he duct tapes it, then arrogently walks inside and says, "if ya can't duck it" you know the rest. And another thing that bothers me is he brings furniture home that are on other peoples lawns on garbage day. So now I have a ripped up couch that smells like 8 year old musty dog, and he doesn't wanna get rid of it. He patched up a hole on it with a chess board and called it, and I quote "cozy". Plz, somebody help me! |
hmm, windows on the computers... Kudane = Geek
3 lcd's with 2 on the same comp...i think i'm in love. |
ROFL i am so glad i am single again....but i do agree with kudane the foil does cut the cost of the electric bill, and i do pench pennies on some things so i would leave too regardless of it looking tacky or not ;)

instead of muscle cars, society these days have upgraded to rice computers with spoilers...
|
And don't forget...it keeps the greenies out. LOL :)
|
I'd show mine off too, but you can't see it for the towers of coke cans and ash trays. The corner desk is really nice, gives plenty of room for everything. I have the same desk without the hutch to support my 2 19" monitors (CRT, I really can't even afford the 14" LCD that we sell where I work)

Nice Kudane
I have 2 systems too side by side one is a 2.8ghz and the other is a 3.2ghz... have nvidia 6800 GT card in the bigger computer and the ATI radeon 9800pro in the other..
My question to Kudane is, I have been looking at flat screen monitors but I cant seem them being as clearer as the desktop monitors anyone have an opinions on this... also I would like to know what is a decent price for a 17inch flat screen with the Specs... cause I am not really knowing what spec's to look for like dps (dots per second) and other spec's on the flat screen to meet my gaminging needs... Thanks |
the only thing a gamer really "needs" to pay attention to on a flat panel monitor
Response time - 16ms or less <--- most important since the higher it is the more smearing you get. Samsung, Sony and LG have a few in the 500-800$ range. . if thats a lil too out of budget then its imo that you stick with CRT. (hence the reason i still use my 21" IBM P275 crt) |

Dells 20" flatscreen is an unltrashop image. its is the sharpest image available in a LCD. You can see the tech specs Here. both dolby and I have gotten one and I have to tell you CRTs look very blurry in comparrison. Price Note: Ironically that monitor is on sale for one of the best prices I have seen. when Dolby and I got our the retail was 999.00 and we got on sale for about 700.00 My wife has the 19" LG. and its also very sharp. |
The Dell FP2001 20.1" LCD is 16ms & native at 1600x1200. One of the few that size that is 16ms and can do 1600x. It's been about $679 for the past few weeks now. The base it sits on is very nice too... its very fluid and sturdy.
