Help I can get my EQ2map updater to work
 

I keep getting an error ::

Well I got it to say download complete but when I go on the game it dows not seem to be working. Does anyone know what I have done wrong.. Also it's telling me to choose a Language and that is at default and it won't let me .. How do I edit that..thanks

If the updater has downloaded all the files and you dont see anything in game, the path to your eq2 installation is wrong, use the browse button in options to find everquest2.exe file to set the path right.

KK I am not a computer person so is it possible for you to explain to me in simple form (lol) how to do that... Also Now I just discovered that when I click on the updater iron to update it, updates alot of files at the end it gives me a error message saying error writing log file...and also for me to open EQ2 manually.Do you know what that is...Thanks

You could right click your desktop icon and select properties, you should find the target path there, then hit browse and follow the same path.

Im sorry but what do you mean by now browser.. I opened the properties and its find . but then you day the browser. That part I don't understand I am so sorry but like i said I am not a very good compute wiz. I just can't for the life of me get the map updater to install it seems that when i run the game it's still the same . And now I get all the way into the game and as soon as I go to move a window saying that EQ2 application stopped working and windows is shutting down.. I can't get down...thank for you help

Also I don't know if this makes a difference but I have station launcher and Everquest2. when I open the properties like you say the target is the same except at the end which ends with \stationlauncher.exe"then after that its'
-game EQ2

When you use station launcher its a bit tricky.
You could search for everquest2.exe and do the right click thing.
The Browse button is in the Updaters Options window.

OK I path in the map option is different then the one in EQ2 or the Launcher but it won't let me apply it...why lol I am sorry but I am a goof when it comes to things like this

You can't type it in by your self, use the browse button next to the field.

just wanted to say thank you for all your help I finally got it working,,, But now I don't know how to use it.. Is there a place I can go to learn....
