Chat Windows

I am having issues with my chat windows and I am wondering if there is a way to fix it, or if this is considered a "feature".

Essentially, I can only put a channel (any channel, tells, game info etc) in one window at a time.

As an example:
If I have my "tells" sent to the Guild tab, instead of the Tells tab...I can't see them in the OOC tab. I would like to be able to set tells to go to all chat tabs I am in so I never miss them. I usually have a customized tab set that allows me to separate out different channels based on what I am doing at the time. Like if I am grouping I don't mind seeing OOC...but if I am raiding I don't...but with grouping or raiding I want to see tells always.

I hope this makes sense. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Tthere's an option called "allow duplicate channels" that might help you.
Try putting this in your EQ2.ini

Code:

chat_allowduplicatechannels 1
No idea if it actually works though :)

Yep -- that is the option that the OP will need, that lets you have chat channels in more than one tab. Otherwise they just move rather than duplicate.

IIRC, there may be a checkbox option in the options as well that does the same thing.

I did not see it in the options, but I did find the code in the EQ2.ini file and removed the # that had it disabled. That fixed the issue. Thanks for the help!
