Drag and Drop
 

Im sure its something completely simple im overlooking, but for the life of me i cant figure it out...

When you examine lets say an item, you supposedly can drag the icon in the resulting examine window and drop it in the chat window in order to link the item - ie link from something on the broker.

For the life of me i cant get the drag and drop to work .... any ideas as to what could be messing it up?

I think you just want to click the picture instead of dragging it.

You can shift click the item from your inventor, or click the icon in the examine window to get it to show up in the chat box. If you want to drag and drop you have to drag the actual item to the chat window, not the resulting window from examining the item. Just tested as I was typing this to make sure.

this is only a question on how to link from an examine window, everything else works fine.

Nothing happens if i click the picture, and guildmates confirm they can drag ... - could be a matter of clicking and the release being interpretted as them jsut clicking the image.

Have you tried right clicking on the picture to examine and then when the next window comes up..drag and drop that? Not sure it that is correct since I have not done if for ages.

I had an issue similar to this but it was that clicking the item never displayed it in the chat. I found out sometimes you get a window that is receiving the links ie a chat tab you no longer have. Make sure to always chat here and if that don't work edit your settings xml file and remove the area concerning chat tabs then rerun the game and set your tabs
