UI Roll Back
 

Howdy yall,

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem. My EQ2 client crashed, reason unknown, as I had to manually hold the power putton to shut down after minutes of waiting. When I came back on, the UI was rolled back to atleast 3 months prior, it had old chat channels, window placements and all that, but, all the GU53 updates where sitll current. I have had a buggar of a time getting everything back to where it was... and i cant remember how to have a channel not show up in 2 different tabs...

Any clues as to if Im able to find my previous settings??

I've had a couple guildies affected by this issue.

First: Try to load your ui settings off an alt, assuming you use basically the same settings on each alt (or close enough).

Next: Delete all the uisettings.ini (NOT .xml) files out of your EQ2 folder. The .ini files are old, and when this crash happens it seems like it's ignoring the presence of the xml files and rebuilding them from your (now several months old) ini version. Be sure not to delete the .xml versions, those are your current settings, those you might want to back up.
