In Windows XP and Vista there is direct support for Zip files.

Just open your file explorer window or My Computer and navigate to where the file is stored on your hard drive. The file should look like a folder with a zipper graphic on it.

Double-click the file and a window will open up that shows the contents of the Zip file. These are the patch files.

Using the File Menu or the quick access pane on the window choose Extract All Files. Click Next and then on the following dialog click the Browse button to navigate to the \Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\FetishNightFall\ directory.

Click Ok and Next to extract the files.

If you have Vista you will likely have to be logged in as Administrator to overwrite the files with the patch files.

If all goes according to plan, you are now updated.

you need to let it overwrite the old files - dont keep both

In Windows explore, browse to and open the FetishNightfall_11_0.zip.

On the left you should now see an option to "Extract all files". Press that to start the extraction Wizard.

Click "Next" on the first screen of the wizard.

The resulting screen should be sub-titled "Select a Destination".
Click the "Browse" button to bring up a window with a desktop tree in it.

Now expand directories to locate and select your EverQuest II folder. By default it would be...
C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II
Then click "OK".

You should now see the chosen directory path above the browse button. Make sure it ends with EverQuest II.

Click "Next" and the files should begin extracting.
If asked if you want to replace files, say "Yes to All".
