Profit and Test Server
 

So I've tried a few different things before asking for help but nothing has worked. If I install profit I immediately crash to desk top while the character entering the game screen.

I have tried to copy my UI folder straight into the test folder (along with the eq2.ini file) and I have tried redirecting the updater path to the test folder and neither one has worked.

Is the test server back up? I wasn't sure if they were done yet because they have yet to post the test server patch notes. I only see 3 changed XML files none of which should cause any crash but was thinking maybe they haven't finished pushing all the GU53 files.

Not sure if it's up now but I've had this problem since Monday, that's when I copied over and tried to use profit. I can actually get in the game...but once I /loadui and try to load profit that's when I crash.

GU is on test but im crashing trying to log into test. =/

Delete eq2ui_journals_quest.xml from your ProfitUI folder until someone (not me) provides a fix. ;)

Tried deleting the files and replacing them with the above, neither worked.

Buthere is no color to the background of the journal UI and the tabs have been moved (no biggie).

Hehe, I have to admit the tabs being moved almost makes me want to take up modding again. LOL at myself. :p

I'ed like to add myself to the list of people who CTD when they try to use profit (I've tried replacing and removing the files mentioned in this thread, the same UI files work on live) I know it's test, just letting ya know.

I guess it wouldnt have to be Profit you come back to modding as Chrislau has taken it over but maybe a new UI or take one of the old UI's and tweak it up to date or maybe just some add on's if time is limted.

I think you should take advantage of Rothgar's support to any ideas you bring to the table. Muahaha.

Today I've been revamping the Quest Journal window yet again. This time I'm adding support to display the achievement rewards as well as making it so completed achievements will show the requirements when you click on it.

So don't spend too much time customizing your own just yet.

Not to derail the thread since I support what you guys have been saying :p , but for me, the file that was causing my crash was the achievements file (it makes sense since the racial changes and AA slider were introduced); try deleting eq2ui_mainhud_achievements.xml and then loading Test Server with profit installed.
