Bugged chat channels
 

Not sure whats causing this but have no clue who else to ask. I have a world wide chat channel that says unable to join and when I try to leave it says unable to leave. How do I fix this if anyone knows? Channel is: guk.wizards

You can't join because SOE decided to make that channel (as all class channels) server-only (just ask another wizard for the new worlwide channel) and you can't leave because that's another game bug that has been there since launch.

If you want to get rid of the channel exit the game, open the appropriate server_character_eq2_uisettings.xml in your eq2 folder in a text editor, search for guk.wizards and delete that entire line. Save and restart the game. Maybe make a copy of the file first in case you mess up. ;)

With this, would you not be able to fix your channels as you want also ?
Just the ingame /swapchannelnumber bla bla is just not so friendly to use

Sure. There's also some editors out but I'm not sure which ones have been updated to the new format yet hence I did not recommend one.

I will try and see if my editor is still working ;)

Bugged channels, and channels swapping numbers is an issue, and I realy don't like spending 10 mins on fixing channels every 4th time I log in :confused:
