EQ2 Map Search Function
Hello,
I have EQ2Map Auto Updater installed with the Fetish UI. All are most recent version and I followed the posted instructions. Initially everything worked well, but in the past few weeks, my maps are not working properly. When I bring a map up in-game and search for a POI, it returns no results. All of the POIs are present on the map, just the search function seems to be having issues. Any ideas? Vahrak |
Also, I have the same setup on my laptop and everything works fine still. Should I try to completely reinstall the UI and map program?

In the options menu, there should be an option to search for partial matches and to search by keyword, make those are set to do that. Otherwise it will give you pretty much no results, like you're seeing
|
yeah those are both checked and still no luck

Trouble with map window
I have Profit UI and map updater installed. And, a little while (may have started right after the last LU) ago the same problem started with me. If I open the map window and click on FIND, there is no list there. It used to list all the locs, NPC's mobs, etc. Now - nothing. Also, if I put something in the box to find (either whole name or partial) nothing comes up. Any ideas how to get this back?

I've gotten a fair number of searches that turned up nothing, but another search with a different keyword showed results that included the first keyword I tried. Seems like an indexing issue. I'm trying to think of a specific example ... since this was yesterday, I'm not positive I have the exact terms, but it was something like this: I was running through Darklight, trying to hit the quest achievement goal, and wanted the Tower of Bone. When I searched for Bone, it didn't come up, but a search for Tower came up with Tower of Bone in full.

Yea the search function is lacking at best for the map. How ever this no fault of eq2map mod or any other UI mod.

personally i had to uncheck the search by keyword to retrive the full list of POI

The thing is that keywords are not realy used by EQ2MAP, its only used for categorys and icon types.
These are the words you see when you type in the search field but are not related to the Description of a POI |
