Profit UI updater Error
 

I have been trying to install the new updates for Profit for almost a week now. The system keeps telling me that it cannot find my EQ2 EXE but everytime I try to do anything within the Profit updater I keep receiving the following error:

Exception thrown while opening database connection

java.sql.SQLException:File input/output error <path>

java.lang.NullPointerException

This error is not allowing me to change the path that Profit is looking for me EQ2 EXE file.

Any help is appreciated.

being that its a holiday weekend, you might not get too many replies. So, for my 2 cp worth, when ever there are odd errors like this, usually the first thing that is said is to make sure you have the latest java run time installed. Goto JAVA.com to check.

Then, the next best thing is to re-install the app from the makers web site directly http://updater.pala.de/ in case your installation is bugged.

Database and/or file system is damaged. Most likely it will start up at least to the main screen. There choose 'Settings' -> 'Updater' -> 'Reset all settings'
