Noxious cure only works with expert potions desperatly needing help

OK I posted earlier that my self cures for the player window was having issues, basically the noxious only works for expert potions now. If you use dedicated it will give the message Item does not exist in inventory. The other cures will work with dedicated but Noxious will not.

I was so frustrated I did a complete wipe of profit AND eq2, spent the whol day and night doing a fresh download of eq2 from scratch then a brand new install of profit. THE exact same problem still exisits. Here is the kicker, I had someone mail me thier profit folder whose cures work right, the probem STILL exists,.

Edited to have less drama. What I described is true and would love any advice. I would edit the subject thread but can't do that on these forums i guess

You are funny.

Skwor 04-23-2009 01:39 PM

gm9 I don't profss to know why but what i siad is true, I completly wiped eq2 and reinstalled it from scratch and then installed profit using the patcher and yes when I click the Noxious button on the player window with only expert potions in my bags it will work, however if i only have dedicated potions in my bag it will not work and gives the message the itme does not exist in my inventory.

I am not trying to be funny and was only making my best guess. What could the issue be when I DID NOTHING but a brand new install of eq2 and then profit from the patcher and this problem still exists??
I would love any advice? As i got nothing from my previous post I wanted to at least warn others of the problem as I understand it.

Desperatly wanting to have this great product work but I have no idea what to do if a new eq2 and profit install still does the exact same thing

Yes, yes you are funny because warning others in big words and four exclamation marks about an issue that you admit you do not understand yourself, while at the same time ignoring the person trying to help you in your other thread, makes me laugh. You never even mentioned what updating ProfitUI has got to do with anything. Warning people off the UI is not the way to get support.

What's even more funny is that you could just have read the FAQ. :p

I saw what he posted, yes I am sure it is not curing the visual evidence was no casting bar, the physical evidence was the Noxious effect not being cured in my detrimental window. I redited my post, I never meant to cuase drama, I was concerned for the community as the same thing happened with a complete, fresh install of both products and thought it was of some concern.

I can only apologize for the appearant drama and am sorry for that

Actually I was thinking of Click to cure with potions - reasons why it may not work.

And don't worry, there's no drama, I'm just having some fun with you. :)

Skwor 04-23-2009 02:02 PM

Thanks a ton. I am reading them both now and work through them.

I really appreciate a direction to head in!!!!! :D

Thank you again. Long story short, someone wiped my account, SOE was awesome and restored my account within 30 minutes (will not go into details)

This coresponded with the same time I repatched profit. Well on the restore I did not get my shared bags back and items where jumbled. I had Nox dedicated and expert in non shared bags. I moved them to shared still an issue. I combined them to one stack each in the shared bags and the issue is corrected. I am sure that makes sense to you but seems really weird to me. Thanks again this has fixed it!

Oh, please edit the thread title if you wish. I redited my original post title but cannot edit ( well I don't seem to know how, if I can) the thread title to match my post title

My only question is how can you have expert's nox cure, when they don't exist anymore? Are these old ones you still have from before the change?
