Quest Helper

Ok, I couldn't find one on the site, but what I am looking for is a auto map updater that shows which quest you are working on when it is clicked in the journal. For example, if I clicked a quest in the journal, it would flash on the map where to go for the poi's on the map. It's kind of frustrating constantly doing searches on the map function. Thanks.

What you speak of is something Rothgar (UI Dev) had as an idea for the future. However, such a thing now would either be impossible or painfully complex. So for now, it's searches or just use the in-game browser to look up the quests on a site like EQ2i. Some UIs (Fetish Nightfall comes to mind) have a button to automatically search for a quest using the in-game browser.

I'd be completely against a change that automatically waypoint'd you where to go all the time. Talk about even less challenging.

Yeah. What I meant is that he wanted a way to show/hide POIs based on the active quest. Because if you think about it, the vast majority of the POIs are quest related, and so dropping a bunch of them would really unclutter maps while still giving you the benefit of having them for when you are doing the quest.

Do it how Rothgar waned to. It shows PoI based on the quest you're on so that the map doesn't clutter up.

Ah ok. Makes sense.
