gear swapout macro...window?

Is it possible to make a window to drag gear into a paperdoll with tabs, that would basically be a ui to setup gear swapout macros? (tanking set, dps set, resists etc.)

I don't know about a window, but you can do the same thing with "equip" macros. It's what I do for grp / solo gear.

You can't really have UI mods save any sort of complicated settings. So if it were possible for UI mods to detect some sort of drag & drop of an item and actually know what the item was... and actually parse its item ID/name to use in an equip command... the best it could do was to display an XML file on screen that you had to copy and paste out of EQ2 and save it as a file for it to read later.

So partially tedious to the point you might as well use an equip macro and partially not possible with what I know of in UI scripting.

Actually you can save arbitrary data from the map window (Add POI functionality), but the other limitations remain, so yeah it can't be done as requested.

ah, okay then. they had a couple of mods like this back when i used to play some WoW. yea, ive spent enough time here to know the general limitations of the ui modding in eq2. it was actually your scripts, Aditu, that got me thinking again of what might be possible with custom windows, etc. guess in the meantime, ill have to put off my laziness long enough to keep editing gear macros :)
