Problem with trying to petition

Not sure why, but when I try to /petition or use the petition button, it locks up my computer, cant ctrl/alt/delete, or anything to try to get it unstuck?, I have to restart my computer.

I can /petition in default so not sure why its doing it. Anyone have any clues what might cause this ?

The petition window is not modded in ProfitUI. You can always try a clean install in case you have other mods install that break it.

isn't the petition window simply the in game browser?

It is. My guess is something else is messed up. I have noticed there's a little lag the first time the browser window opens, the game kind of freezes for a few seconds until the browser components initialize or something.

pretty much, but it is part of eq2ui_mainhud_help.xml, which - unlike the browser window - is not modified in ProfitUI.

Maybe your firewall is blocking access to the in-game browser. I know I have a bit of a hesitation when my in-game browser opens up. That is my firewall/virus scanner doing their thing prior to allowing access.

Are you by chance running zone-alarm? If you are, and it is set to learn mode, a window is popped up by zonealarm which requires your attention before it will let anything happen, however, the game has control and is "frozen" until the browser returns. Try preconfiguring zone-alarm to allow the in-game browser before launching EQ

Thanks, ill check my firewall since I actually just started running one again.

My ingame browser window opens up when I check for quests and stuff.
