jethal ui in complete set
His UI is a trojan. get into your windows. open up window in game. try talk and take stuff out your bank. please remove his ui.
|
bigrazzer don't post things you know nothing about. There is NO trojan in this UI mod, UI mod's can't even have trojans.
|
Yes. Trolling is a big no-no. The website scans for any malicious scripts, viruses, and trojans. Besides, the UI is made to disable these things from happening.
I suggest you stop going to obscene websites and sharing your password with people over the net. |
agree with what they said. Scanned with 4 different checkers no alerts at all.
don't cry wolf m8. |
ROFL, tell us how you really feel drago!
|
You guys should know better than to say that UI mods are inherently safe. They are not. A malicious UI mod can easily compromise your account or render your computer unusable, among other things. And no scanner will find that.
However, to the OP: Your post does not make much sense. You'll need to provide more concrete information before we'll take accusations seriously, in particular as yours are against a very well known UI mod. As others said, don't cry wolf unless you have a clue what you are talking about. |

aye Dark Ages of Camelot did have a UI mod that was trojan and did indeed steal peoples accounts. Adaware and spybot did alert to the scripting as suspious but many ignored it. I'm sure it could of been done in any xml UI but the OP comes and provides nothing concrete to the trojan he just says oh trojan delete it.

Gateway support found this? hmm I work for Sykes which handles Gateway support http://www.sykes.com and sorry mate such a search would be out of the scope of support. They will simply have you do a reinstall from the restore partition to ensure the machine is operating to the standards when shipped. They will not touch anything that is 3rd party. ie SoE, Office 2007 etc. you would be lucky to get a support call center operator to help install a printer that didn't come with the machine.
You're trying to claim a well known UI modder has a trojan in his UI which he put there. first you said " open up window in game. try talk and take stuff out your bank. please remove his ui." now you're saying it destoyed your armor. And on the note that no scanner will find a trojan well then I guess we all should stop using anything that could possibly have malicious script in it because nothing out there is going to find it. Trust me there are some rather nifty (and costly) programs that do scan better than the store bought or net purchased stuff most use. Theres also the mere fact that since this is all xml the gateway guy would need a good understanding of how it all ties together to determine if such thing was in the UI and I doubt thats a thing Gateway would spend time looking for. I could be wrong and have been wrong in the past but hey its my opinion and experience with support calls. Support call operators/techs have a set method of doing things to keep call times down. Site Operators can you check the file to see if hes got any merit to his claim? |

I assure you bigrazzer that it's not the UI. Have you ever shared you password with someone and do you have sufficient spyware and virus protection? Isn't there a good website virus scanner that uses a bunch of different programs and has been mentioned in the forums before? EDIT: Found it http://www.virustotal.com/ |

Therefore bigrazzer please stop these accusations now, it has gone far enough. Thanks. |
Lmao
Good going man, you made me wake my 2 week old newborn due to an insane amount of laughter. I burst out laughing when I read this. Jethal is a very well known UI modder and is also well known in the EQ community for far more than UI modding.
On a side note, this happened to my friend (or rather similar things) in a few different games For EQ2, he tried downloading a tradeskill macro and it did indeed destroy all his gear, items, backpacks, everything he had on him. In Diablo II, he tried downloading a duping hack and it opened his inventory screen and dropped all his items on the ground for everyone to steal. For EQ1, he tried downloading an auto-item grabber so when people drop items in PoK, he would teleport there and pick it up, it worked... but his account was stolen a day later. Basically, what I am getting at is: Did you try to cheat and download speedhacks/macros? Then again, if you did, you probably wouldn't admit it on this site, so if this is the case, I would recommend you don't do that. |

wow.. I had no idea this thread was going on.
I want to thank everyone who came to my defense. the Kithicor Forest UI is nothing more than a visual skin job, I have very little programing knowledge.. hell, with out the UIBuilder, I couldn't do this at all. |

Besides, XML can't really control your toon. If it could, people would be botting everything left and right. Would need an EXE for that, anyway - and its easy enough to look through the files and see theres nothing malicious there :p
|
I think I'll close this thread down now, no need to bump this to the top all the time and potentially scare people off Jethal's great UI. ;)
