Dev Cycle

Hiya,

Can anyone elaborate on an easy way to do a testing cycle with UI Components? /loadui crashes my main so I have to use a new toon (probally old settings file but I'm not about to delete it)..

If I do use /loadui on a toon that doesn't crash eq2, it does not seem to reload the included file from eq2ui_custom.xml. I've also tried /camp'ing to myself but again it seems to be caching the included file.

Thanks,
Jaxl

In my experience, if it's crashing you or ignoring the custom stuff, there may be an issue with the custom UI you are trying to load. /loadui is just about fixed (only a few things don't update properly now I believe) so the command itself should not be crashing you. One way to test that is to log out and back in -- if you end up with a crash or the default UI, the issue is with the custom ui code.

Well I was crashing all the time using /loadui on Beta with good UI code, but I've never seen it not reload an xml file (it does not reload images). Not that this helps you. :o
