eq2 launcher reverting to default UI problem
 

I am having a major issue of having the game revert to default when I launch the game. I tried using both the eq2.exe and everquest2.exe that skips the patcher and I'm being forced into default ui. I don't know what is causing it to ignore my profitUI as default - but this is extremely frustrasting. Please help...

Also it is messing up eq2 map as well. When I do /loadui and select profit ui the map is completely messed up and has no icons at all. Lower moors map is missing altogther. Also my achievment window and knowledge windows are messed up.

check to see if you have more than one installation. On one of my boxes, when I installed the latest xpack, I would up with 2 installs. I almost freaked out (well i did freak out) when the game loaded and my UI was set to default and my hotbars were toast. Check your link on the desktop and make sure it is pointing to the correct installation. In my case, I run eq off of the D drive, and the xpack installed it to the C drive. I also wound up with 2 launcher icons on the desktop.

I would suggest a clean install, the UI defaults to the Default UI if you have a corrupt file.
