EQ2Interface - black blocks where words should be

Hi.. I love eq2maps.. have used it since day 1, however with this new version I have the beautiful new maps but no words along the top or anywhere .. just black boxes.. if i hover the mouse the tooltip shows up saying what is supposed to be seen (i.e. the X to close the map or anything to filter or search) any ideas what needs to be fixed. Others in channels were stating the same problem but I havent seen any posts regarding this yet. If it is a custom UI issue , I use fetish and I am not sure what file to delete so I could use the default map skin until Zonx updates ..
