Totally lost on ProfitUI

Downloaded and installed profitUI exactly as instructions stated, to the T.
I'm running on Vista, if that means anything...

Anyway, as I launch EQII the game updates itself and replaces all of the Default UI files, reinstalling the "Default" folder the instructions said to replace with the ProfitUI folder.

?
/loadui in game doesn't work either.

???

Oh, and just to clear a few things up-

I AM running EQ2 on Administrator. AND UAC IS disabled.
So, why am I still not able to use any custom UIs?

You aren't supposed to place the profit files in to the default directory :)

If you followed the instructions to the T, you would have created a new directory in the UI directory called ProfitUI

My advice would be to get and install the Autoupdater as this will set up all the files you need to change and directories for you. It will also make sure that you are running the latest version of Profit so you don't have to worry about Sony making changes :)

Also, the auto updater/installer for ProfitUI doesn't work for me either.
Although I have the correct JRE installed, the autoupdater/installer STILL says that it cannot be located.

I did exactly that. I made a new UI folder called ProfitUI in the UI folder NOT in the "Default" folder. But, when I launch Eq2, the Default folder is replaced by the launchpad and Profit goes undetected.

Reinstall the Java program and the updater will work...even if you know you have the most recent version, reinstall the latest and it will work.

As for the reason your profit isn't working is that you have to open your EQ2.ini file in your everquest directory and change the line that says "UI/Default" to say "UI/ProfitUI"

Let me know how you get on.

Nope. If you install ProfitUI, either manual or auto-updating, you do not have to create any folder or edit any files. Just follow the ProfitUI installation instructions.
