Is this even possible?
Ok, this is gonna be an odd request... I am coming back to EQ2 from Vanguard after quite a bit of time away, and I've been using DroxUI in VG for over a year now, and using ProfitUI here in EQ2. 2 major things:
First: I have a G15, and Vanguard allows a lot of extra buttons, that aren't normally in the options. So, there's 4 Hotbars (Numbers, Ctrl + Numbers, Alt + Numbers, and Shift + Numbers) - on top of that, there's a Numpad Hotbar (aka, Numpad 0-9, +, -, and .) - and on top of THAT, there's a G15 bar (a hotbar that uses Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Letter, and there's a G15 file that maps the g15 buttons to the matching hotbar button). Using a user.ini file, you can add/adjust/remove/etc the buttons themselves. Does EQ2 have similar options, or are you limited to the 3 hotbar sets of buttons, and that's it? Second: Effects/Detrimental Effects vs Maintained Is there any way to get an Effects/Detrimental Effects window that says the name of the buff/debuff? Like, I stretch all the way down the side of my screen, it shows the time left, the icon, and the name? Link to a picture: http://www.vginterface.com/downloads/full463.jpg Notice the top left corner, with the beneficial effects (which also happen to be maintained effects in VG). The bottom left corner is the G15 hotbar, and the bottom right is the numpad hotbar. I'd love to know if these things are even possible. If they are, and you don't want to do the coding, that's cool, and I'll poke around at it. If not, I figured you would know without me breaking my brain attempting it :X |
First:
3 direct access hotbars only, but of course you can program the G15 to switch the hotbar banks for you (or to load a different hotbar setup /load_hotkeys) so you can use as many hotbars as you want. Second: No (you could theoretically show the tooltip info besides the icon but you cannot extract specific text from it so it is all or nothing). |
An additional thing to note:
While there are only keys for the first three hotbars, which all can be found in the options menu, there are commands to change the current hotkey bank in all three of the first three hotbars, despite there only being keys for the first hotbar in the menu. To find out what they are for your current keymapping, open the corresponding .ini file and fine all of the commands that resemble UI_QUICKBAR_BANK_0, UI_QUICKBAR_BANK_0_ALT, and UI_QUICKBAR_BANK_0_CTRL. Actually, looking at that, you may want to try to add a command to a keymapping that reads UI_HOTBUTTON_0_SHIFT - which currently doesn't exist - and see if that triggers the first key in the fourth hotbar. I may try this next time I log in. EDIT: Tried it, it didn't work. |

Blegh. Thanks for the info :)
There's a couple things I miss from VG (Flying Mounts, multiple clothing sets - ie a harvesting and crafting set, etc... and now my hotbar options.) Need.... more... keyboard mappable hotbuttons... :D Thanks again for the ifno. |
