Hotbar flexibility?
Hello. When I played EQ and WoW, There were programs that would let you redesign the hotbar as you see fit. For example, I use a Nostromo game pad. It has 14 buttons on it in the rows of 5/5/4. So I made my hotbar to match it. Row one had 5 buttons, row two had 5 buttons and row three had 4 buttons. It looked like this:
XXXXX XXXXX XXXX Is there anyway I can do this with EQ2? Thank you so much! Woody |
Sorry but no. The hot bar has 12 buttons and each hot bar is basically a clone of the 1st hot bar.

Well, even so... the default hotbar can still resize into configurations other than 1x12 because it's a VolumePage or something. Personally I have one hotbar that is a 3x4 grid that I map to my numeric pad. That sounds pretty similar to what they are talking about except you cannot change the number of total icons to 14. Closest he'll get is 5,5,2 I suppose... but each new hotbar is still individually resizable.

Of course they can be resized to have 1 to 12 buttons on one row, I would hope they knew this.

I'm always amazed at what people will try the hard way but not try the easy way. *shrug*
