problem with gamedata / raid ui

Hi,

i have a problem on one of my two pcs that after GU48 the cure raid window doesnt work. the problem seems to be that the game doesnt identify the class correctly.
i got the info to type /dynamicdata Self.SubClass
and that should show the class. it does show (in german - localized client) Wärter on my "old" pc. on the new one it just says
Dynamic.Data not found
and doesnt recognize the class correctly.

eq2aditu told me to replace the eq2ui_gamedata.xml file. i copied it from the pc that is working but doesnt fix the issue.

anybody out there who has an idea whats wrong?
anything else afaik know works, eq2map, target window etc.

Problem part 2:

the localized spell with special character doesnt work in that click-heal ui.
does anybody now what characters or codes have to be put into the xml instead of ß.ä,ö,ü?

the line in the ui reads:
<Data Name="HealSpell2" SpellName="Große Fluoreszenz" /> (thats the German translation)
& # 223 ; was something (without the spaces) that i was suggested, but doesnt work.
anyone any other ideas?

really noone? not even a rough guess? :o

Hmm, I thought I had responded to this. Strange.

1. If the DynamicData does not work you either used /loadui, mistyped, or I really have no idea except something lame like try to reinstall the game...

2. No special character encoding needed, the xmls are unicode files and thus support every character. Just make sure to save as unicode (windows notepad/editor likes to break it, use another editor). Also do you even need to translate the spell name? Nobody ever asked for spell translations for my UI and I'm sure they would have if it was necessary (I can't recall whether I ever tested this however).

Problem 1 solved after todays MS Patchday and the Service Pack1 for .net framework 2.0
dont ask me why, but it works now. So it does show "Wärter" again.
But it doesnt assign the warden spells correctly any more. i have to put the german names in the "class not recognized" fields

i'll start on the second one now

i definitely have to put german names in there or it wont work. funny thing, cure works with the english name - any ideas why one thing works and others dont?

If you really need to put German names then you are out of luck. The interface scripting language does not support non-US-ASCII characters. You can always try /feedback.

If I understand you correctly subclass detection for Wardens on German servers is broken again? I'll take a look, maybe they renamed the subclass once more.

Finally why cures would work but not spells I do not know. :)

1) i wish i could use an english client on a German server. For now i put the T7 Spellname there, unfortunately the T8 warden big heal has a "ß"

2) sorry if i am not specific enough, English is not my native language :)
If i type the command /dynamicdata Self.SubClass it now (since .net patch) shows "Wärter" (as before when it was working weeks ago). For some reason in eqaditu's raid window it doesnt seem to identify the class correctly OR it doesnt assign the warden class spells to be used. It only works now if i put the (German spellnames) spells into the first section "non-priest-classes". Unfortunately i am too noob to track that down.

3) Great, thats what i feared. i will /bug and /feedback it ingame. still i am very curious why the cure works and not the spells. as the cure is definitely in English there i still hope there is some way to use the English spellnames somehow. There must at least be a reason why one spell works English and the others dont ;)

And thx alot for the assistance so far!

1. I think you can add this line to your eq2.ini to play in English:
cl_language English
2. No problem, I'm German as well. :p As to the problem SOE recently renamed the Wärter subclass to "Wärter " (note the added space at the end). If you put it like that into aditu's window that should work.

Maybe not a good idea, since it only changes client-generated text to english and NPC get their reference as name (like \get(12345)).

I just tested spell casting and both the english and the german spell names work fine for me as a troubador. Since I haven't heard any complains about it, I don't think it's a general problem.

after putting the space after Wärter it works again! Who in the world should find that out - at least when they break it next time thats the first thing i will try to remove.
Also English names work now for me - so even the special characters are no issue any more.

Thx for the help and solving my problem!
