Potion Curing
 

I love profit and have grown quite addicted to it (had to modify some of the windows to my liking =P, lol). I play on PvP and PvE with characters across several tiers, and found that the 3 slots for inventory potions for click to cure to fall somewhat short of sufficient for me. My question is, is it "possible" to put a list of each tier's potion's item numbers and select the proper one for your level? I would find this very useful, and would be able to be included in the profit's defaults and would make it even more friendly to noobs. I am not in any way requesting something before I know if it is possible, but based on what you have already done with this UI, I bet it is =P. Thanks for listening to me babble.

Yes, it is possible. Would you want to post the vdl numbers for each tier's potions?

Another thing I would like to add, it would be helpful if it tried to use the potion for your current tier, and then the one for the tier below that. Would hate to ding 22 and have the potion button not work till I went back to town =P

Thanks, looks like those are all the mastercrafted potions. Is that really what's getting used on PvP instead of the cheaper handcrafted versions? And would you really use the lvl2 potions?

ProfitUI currently has T7 mastercrafted and T8 handcrafted and mastercrafted.

For looking up item links I can recommend lootdb.com and eq2llinks.com. As far as I know eq2idb is no longer being updated, ProfitUI used to link to it but I removed it a while ago.

Yes, mastercrafted potions are a godsend on PvP (and they aren't that expensive =), lol). When you can get attacked by someone 8 levels higher, and with the recast time on them, you need the best you can get. As for the level 2 MC potions, no, I can't see them being used, but was listing them for consistency. I can go through and get all the handcrafted too if you would like, only took me 7 minutes.

Another thing I was thinking was that profit uses 3 slots, if 2 of them were auto-designated by your current tier and your previous tier, you could still have one slot to put the potion of your choice.

I only need the handcrafted if they are being used. And don't mind the implementation, there will be no fancy level detection, the code will just try to use all of the potions starting from the highest level one until it finds one in your inventory. If you have potions of several tiers the lower versions will fail because you are already casting (you'll probably get an on-screen error message in that case). That will probably take me no more than 7 minutes to implement as well. :D

That spam exactly (you should already have 2 lines of that anyway). If you post the handcrafted codes as well I'll push the updated code this weekend. I'll yet have to decide whether I make this the default code or just a variant (to spare non-PvP players the spam...)
