Profile Settings
 

I looked at the profile settings files and was wondering if these would also include tooltip settings?

I am looking for a way to easily turn macro, spell and item tooltips off for one fight and then back on again without having to go into the options and digging for them.

Those are handled by the game itself, and if you go into the Options panel, UI section, you'll find checkboxes to control tooltips. I think control's limited to just on/off, though, without much fine-grained control over which ones display or not.
