Downloading as a php file??
Hello,
I have been trying to download the maps for a few days but it keeps downloading as a php file, it was suggested to me to try and install, winzip?? not sure why I already had winrar? but I did and it still didnt change anything. So I am really not sure what to do. Thank you |
The .php file is the webfile that is serving you the actual file, although here I thought it was .html.
I'm having no issues downloading any files from here, so I'm not sure what the issue is. Can you give me the link you're using, and also what browser you're using? (I only checked in Firefox 2.x) |
I've had this issue in the past, where trying to downloading something would try to send me the PHP file request, rather than the file itself, but I believe it's just a server error of some kind. Not sure if it remedy'd itself or not though....

Never had that on this site, but it can be either server or browser error. usually just renaming the .php to .zip should solve the problem though.

Ive reinstalled it aprox 10ish times each time it install .php file

Some download accelerators will grab the .php file that servers the real file. You have to disable the DA or get a better one that doesn't do that.

I am having the exact same problem as the original poster. Not only can I NOT download ANY file from this site, I CANNOT download the Ventrilo voice chat that my guild uses.
Yes, I use a download accelerator: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org but I don't believe the problem lies with that program as I am able to download from any other site I go to. I have my computer updated, I use windows xp and have the latest Windows Internet Explorer that is available. From what I have heard about the programs here available, I would very much like to be able to successfully download one of them. |

I'm gonna guess it's the downloader, as every other site probably doesn't use the same method as here.
UI files aren't that big anyhow, I'm sure the normal download manager of a browser can handle it, no? |
