Client Version is differenet to the servers..
 

This may been an old issue, but I struck it today on two machines in my house, a laptop running window xp, and my desktop running vista:
"The client is a different version to the server etc...". Launcher was refusing to patch.
Running eq2maps and POI. EQ2maps updater didn't fix the issue. I deleted the UI folder from the directory, game is now patching fine on both machines. Is there an easier solution to this issue?

The game servers were actually down for an update.

Thats why it wouldn't update because Sony was updating it :)

got same message today after GU 45.

after deleting the UI folder all works fine.

but i want to use the profit UI further on.

so what do i have to do now ?

My English is bad too , but try this
deaktivate or close your Firewall and the patcher schould patch the game to the newer version.
Ive closed my Kaspersy internet security ( Firewall and Anti-Virus ) and he has done the Update.

( dont forget to re-aktivate the wall after the patch is done !!! )

GU 45 and ProfitUI Auto Update both updated today,

but now i got the message, only chance to play is to deactivate profitUI.


anyone got a solution so far?

This is not UI related, it means that you must run the EQ2 patcher to update the game. If you are on Splitpaw you are out of luck since SOE broke it.
