Installing a single XML? [Help needed]
 
Hey i downloaded Othesus Active Quest Helper, the addon comes in a single XML file. Im new to addons and such in EQ2, how do i get the addons to work? Where do i put it?

I haven't used this mod, but it looks to be a replacement file for the existing eq2ui_journals_active.xml.

You should only need to copy it into the directory for your current UI folder/

You should find the existing file in your UI folder and make a backup before replacing with this (or any) mod.

I have a Eq2maps folder and a defult Eq2 folder named "Default" and i tried putting it in Default without any success. Any other idea?

Since you listed the only two choices yourself and already excluded one of them the correct choice would appear to be obvious. :eek:

Unlikely, unless you are not using EQ2MAP either. Check the FAQ linked at the top on installing interfaces and verify each step.

Odds are, (s)he doesn't have the eq2.ini file in the correct place (if they have one at all)!
