Party Window Request

First the mandatory compliment... LOVE your UI! (good enough? *smiles*)

I play EQ2 at 1680x1050 resolution and as a healer I simply love the click to heal ability in the party window. However, the icons and window is just too small at the higher resolution and in my advancing age I was wondering how hard it would be to double the size of the heal icons (and cures)?

They are just too tiny for me.

I know you get a ton of requests but I was thinking that I might not be the only one to play at a higher resolution who thought the icons were too small.

Thanks for all past, present and future work on what I consider the best UI.

P.S. That would be group window... I just got up so I'm still out of it :)

P.S. An EXP bar in addition to the large number would be nice but beggars cannot be choosers :)

The XP window already has an XP bar, it can be toggled via the windowsettings.

A double size group window has been requested a couple of times, I might finally do one just for the default vertical version. Maybe.

Did not know that about the Exp Bar... will check it out today. Thanks for considering making the group bar larger or at least the icons. On a 22" widescreen (getting very very popular now) the click to cure icons are about 1/4 of an inch or maybe even less.

If it's a big deal then don't worry about it. I know that there are probably other things more important to fix or improve. The amount of work you have already put into this interface must be amazing.

I just thought that maybe (like the size of the countdown numbers) that it was only a matter of changing a few numbers. Upon reflection I guess it would also mean making new graphics for the larger icons and making sure everything fix properly.

BTW I just want to thank you for those countdown numbers. I have to admit that at first I thought it was just a gimmick but let me tell you... I now find them invaluable! It helps me time everything in the heat of battle with all my heals and cures. Sure it's not needed but it sure helps and I love the fact that you can turn it on and off separate for each bar.

So thanks again and keep up the good work. IMHO SOE should include (and either pay or at least give you a free lifetime subscription!) yours and a select few other UI's with the game. I don't know how I could ever go back to the default :)

Since posting this:
http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=10826

Where I was requesting a larger group window.

I have stuck to using the Profit Group and Player window that show the 3 individual (Player - Target - Implied)

I like both windows alot just the sizes could be a bit bigger. Maybe not quite double.

For the SORi player window it only showed player and that was it, but was resizeable which was cool. Not sure how they did it for resizing in code.

The size of SORi group window was just about right for a 22" screen along side Profit Raid @ 1680x1050.

Also, with my latest addition of the DragoHUD with ProfitUI is very nice and helps at times when in group/raiding moments need a quick sense of what is going on.

I must be losing it. I spent an hour trying to find this but I cannot. It's not really that important having an exp bar next to the large digital readout but since you said it was there I thought I would look.

It's in the titlebar, a numerical display of all XP types at once. Go to the windowsettings and select frame & titlebar mode. Also check the sliders whether the titlebar is set to visible. In the default ProfitUI layout that bar is already enabled.
