Maps don't change after zoning (recurring problem over last year or so)

Hey I don't know if this issue is an EQ2Map problem or it is a general EQ2 problem with their map system and I've trolled the forums & searched, however I have not found a thread talking about this.

The only mod I'm running is the Fetish mod.

Pretty much, it looks like my map gets stuck on a certain zone. No idea what triggers this. I constantly have to select the map I'm currently on from the drop-down menus to pull up the correct map on the in-game map window.

Is there anything I need to modify on my system to get these maps to auto-update to the correct area I'm in? The problem seems REALLY bad when I'm in a zone that has multiple floors (Poet's Palace, for an example). The map won't change to a new floor.

I've noticed that if I leave the map up on my display the map changes as I zone, however I like to leave that window closed and if I close it and then punch "m" on the keyboard I'll be presented with a map for a zone I was in about 4 zones ago (POIs intact for that zone and sometimes with the POIs of the zone I'm currently in).

Halp?

Do you have any of the map plug-ins loaded? The VAM (View Any Map) one, to be specific.

That particular plug-in has been known to cause EQ2Map to act kinda buggy (incorrect map for the zone being displayed, POIs from different maps being overlayed along with the correct POIs for the zone, etc).

Try deleting the file for that plug-in (assuming, of course, you are using it) and see if that solves your issue. I don't remember the file name to look for, so maybe you could try doing what Zonx (the author of the map plug-ins) at the end of this thread.
