Profit UI updater issue
 

My updater does not seem to work today. It was working perfectly yesterday.
Now it sends me the following message when I launch it

Cannot Connect!
Please check your Network settings or try again later.

Do you want to change proxy settings [yes] [No]

I checked my internet connection it works perfectly. I checked my version of Java, I have the latest one for my OS (Vista)

Is the profit UI site down or too busy. If so no biggie I will try later. If not then I have no clue.

If restarting doesn't fix this maybe try deleting (or renaming) the files in
%appdata%\ProfitUI Reborn Downloader
(just copy and paste that into the explorers address bar or the start menu).
If the database got corrupt this will fix it. Still have no idea how this can happen since it is pretty much failsafe.

Actually it would be interesting to take a look at the files. Guess it is too late now :p

Oops sorry, yes I guess it is too late and some people seem to have the same issue. But tell them your advice + rebooting worked

Confused and need help.
 

I have had profit for a while now and love it however, I have never been able to get the updater to work. When last expansion came out I got the /mainhud not compatible error for my persona window. I have went without it for a while now. Well I have tried recently to fix updater but I cant seem to figure it out. I went and downloaded recent Java at the suggestion of this site but that didnt work either. It doesnt help that im not a computer wiz. Can you please tell me what it is im doing wrong. FYI I DO have an updater icon saved but when I try to open it, nothing happens. Thank you for your help..
