not able to create eq2.ini
 

Well im on vista..not sure if that has anyh
thing to do with it but ive unchecked "Hide extentions for known file types" and the only option i get is to create a folder in eq directory...no file creation...blah. anyone help?

You could always just manually open Notepad, enter the necessary data/information, and save the file as eq2.ini in your eq2 directory. ;)

You need admin rights to do any thing besides read in a system folders in Vista.

Try saving it somewhere else then copy it over?

Really you should just disable UAC.
