having some technical difficulties
 

Upon my recent return to the game, and full reinstallation of everything.. I seem to be having a problem with the Profit Reburn UI.

All of my hotkeys, etc work properly but the issues I am having are the following:

First when i have my inventory up, I cannot see any numbers (i.e. how much coin I have)

My xp bars are no existant

I keep getting an error when I zone... "The Detrimental
spell effects window is not present. .....patcher the ui"

I am sure if I fix that problem, they will all be resolved. Please let me know what to do! Thank you in advance

use the latest version and follow the installation instructions (that includes not using /loadui...)

I am having a similar problem which has manifested on 2 computers: the first was patching my WinXP Pro computer for my test files (I was initially unconcerned, as it was on the test server, and I understand that support is not always present). The second was when my WinXP hard drive went bonkers on my laptop, so I swapped my Vista hard drive in and loaded EQ2 on it. After patching and loading Profit UI reborn (for live server this time), then installing Profit UI updater and updating, I got the exact same symptoms that I experienced on the Test server install (which are very similar to the OP). The syptoms are as follows:

-Message "Detrimental Effects window is not present.... until you patch your UI!" on log in and zoning (Have deleted the file and rebooted and patched (via Profit UI updater) several times)
-Health and Power bars are grey, though Concentration chicklets show
-Top bar (except compass) and bottom bar are black, but mousing over top bar gives tips
-Self>Target>Implied Target are all blank, except for the arrows
-Hotbar "Spinners" arrows are black boxes
-Chat window tabs are nonexistant
-Casting bar is a black rectangle
-Coin icons show, but numerals are not present
-Sound, Video, Night Vision, etc. Special hotbar is transparent with frames or black. Only icon which shows is Zone Reuse Timers. Clicking on the boxes only yields results in the zone reuse timers and the Night Vision boxes.

I have installed, used, and cherished Profit UI on many computers over the years, and this recent development has me quite frustrated.

Any help is appreciated.

This a self-effacing response to my last post...

It seems I thought since I made a fresh install of EQ2, a "clean install" procedure when I encountered problems was not required.

Au contraire, mon Frere.

Followed the "clean install" Procedures, and all is now well after reinstalling and patching the UI.

Hope this helps any others.
