new hot bar timers

Hi, i realy like your ui, it is awsome and have appreciated it form day 1, adding teh timers to teh hot bars is a very nice effect, i understand that having hem hidien when they are zero is somthing that sony has to change, iv already sent in bug reports requesting this, but i still fidn that there size obscures the icons and actualy makes play some what harder, i may have to discontine suing them till sony can act.
somthing i was thinking might help though is to reduce there size adn move them to the uper left or right corner of the icon window, not shure if this is fasiible, maybe change the font so its not so over whelming until sony does get it fixed so tehy can hide when not in use,
thanks again for an awsome ui.:nana:

Find the eq2ui_mainhud_hotkey.xml and open it in notepad. Then change all Font22 to FontArial12T. That will change the font to a nice 12 point arial font.

Here's some other general feedback, for both the authors of Profit UI and SOE.

I think the numbers are too big (obviously since I changed them to be smaller). My hotkey icons are sized to 32, and with the large font it made it hard to see the icon. This probably wouldn't be an issue if SOE changes it so that 0 doesn't appear.

I wish the timer wasn't in seconds. I realize there is nothing that can be done about this from a UI modder standpoint. I'd much rather prefer to see a digit after the decimal point as well like the timer in the tool tips.

However, that of course won't matter if they don't change it so that each hotkey's timer updates more than once a second. As it works right now, every hotkey updates at the same time. So when I see a hotkey turn from "2" to "1" I don't actually know if I can cast that ability in 1 second or 0.2 seconds. It is more of a hinderance than a help with them all updating at the same time like they are right now. I still have to hover over spells and look at the tooltip to get the information I need.

At this point I'd still just settle for the ability to not have spells tint while I am casting another spell. I know I am casting, I don't need every hotkey to inform me of that. What I need is to be able to tell which spells I can cast because right now when I'm chain casting my spells never light up again unless I lag.

woot, thanks flood..... worked like a "charm" or something :P

one last question... the timers are only happening on my first hotbutton bar... is there a way to make it for all bars?

Edited..... NM...found it

I agree, that's all I ever asked for. I see the timers just as a gimmick. The big numbers are ok once we can turn the 0's off - you don't need to see an icon you know you just clicked.

Check the FAQ or the release notes. But dragowulf's post should set you on the right track as well. :)
