Bag issues
 

Hi,

I've just recently started using Profit Reborn, and I really like it a lot. It is an amazingly clean and functional UI. I am having a minor issue though...

(After installing via the Auto Update version)

On my first toon I started with the appropriate default ui settings resolution for my screen, then I adjusted things in the ui to be where I wanted them i.e. bag locations, moved a few hotbars etc. Then I log in another of my toons and did a /load_uisettings from my first toon.

On the subsequent (wow.. did I spell that right?) toons, the bags often have the lower slots cut off of their bags, also the title bar is not hidden as it is on the first toon's setup. Re-opening the bags usually fixes the cutting off the bottom problem (temporarily), but not the title bar.

My first attempt at addressing this was to try and open the Bag Options and tweak that... but when I attempt to do that (on all of my toons) I hear it pop open, but it is not visible on my screen.

What I am I doing wrong here?

P.S. I looked though the FAQ and tried a search, even skimmed through a few pages of posts but didn't see a similar issue. Sorry If I missed it.

Is there a script or something I can put in to make the bag options visible? Or perhaps to move the window to somewhere guaranteed to be on screen?

It's nevertheless answered in the FAQ, under the entry named "Bags"... :eek:

Regarding the bag options I have no idea, they may be opening off screen, try to rename your uisettings.ini and start with a clean UI (without loading an alt's setup) to see if that fixes it.

PS: You can also put in a script via the ControlCenter, but I currently do not have any UI files at hand and therefore can't give you the exact code.

Damn, dunno how I missed that in the FAQ.

2 Questions though:

1) Where do I get the "the optional _eq2ui_inventory_bag (fixed titlebars).zip" file? The FAQ does not offer a link to it and it is not under my UI\ProfitUI\ folder, nor under the Program Files\ProfitUI Reborn Updater\ folder

I couldn't find it under the ProfitUI Addons page

A search of the forum for "(fixed titlebars).zip" only returned three threads where you mentioned using this file again.. but not a link to it.

2) Will this address the issue I am having with not being able to open/see the Bag Options Window?

1) Ah yes, the FAQ needs updating for the auto-updater, if you use the auto-updater all window variants are accessible via the variants menu and installed automatically. :) You do realize though that you do not need that file if you turn off the titlebars, right? (just making sure)

To be sure i understand you completely, the issue I have with the bottom of the bags being semi cut off is addressed by re-opening the bags. I've done this and it does usually fix it temporarily, however the problem does continue to show up periodically when attempting to look at the bags again. Is this "normal" behavior?

And the issue I have with the title bar being visible is something that I can address once I figure out the script (or start from a fresh UI Default) to view the bag options and simply turn the title off.

Yes, this is expected behaviour unfortunately if you want to mix and match both bags with titlebars enabled and bags that have them disabled. If you have them all disabled you will not have a problem. If you install the variant that always has them enabled you will not have a problem either.

The title is however not turned off in the bag options but rather in the windowsettings.
