Auto Accept Loot Feature
I do like the auto decline loot feature and it does save me from loading my bags with useless junk. I was wondering if there has been any thought into making an auto accept loot feature. I tank alot and find it irriatating to be tabbing through mobs for a pull and then a loot window pops up in the middle of the screen blocking my view. In addition, is there a way to lock the loot windows in a certain position on the screen. I have tried locking them in the upper left hand corner only to have them automatically reset to the center of my screen on the next loot attempt.
I would try to modify the files myself, but my understanding of program languages stops at Basic ... :nana: Any thoughts ... ?? |
Not added on purpose to the main release but Pooka posted a version doing that:

Auto-loot combined with "OK" on enter for the popup dialog would be very dangerious as you'd have a good chance of accidentally looting No-Trade items, particularly if you have the popup for No-Trade disabled.
I considered this when I introduced auto-decline in the Fetish UI and decided to avoid the problem entirely. |
Yes, we had the same reasoning there Zonx, that's why I said I didn't add this on purpose. I don't need the drama it might create if this feature was generally available. ;)

Thanks guys and thanks for the warnings ... We all know that drama is what makes this game wonderful.

Actually, with the next GU you might want to revisit this. Here they show a couple of new features coming to the loot system, mainly NBG looting, and group looting becoming available for shinies. While I'd never want to automatically 'Loot' I can see places where automatic 'Greed' would be really handy. Oh, and GM9, I'm really hoping you'll extend Loot window with 'Enter for Greed' :)

When they change it, it'll likely break the current mod, but not in a big way. The way gm9's (or whomever did the original) code works makes it really rather easy to adjust. So long as there is a button to 'accept' or 'decline' or 'greed' or whatever we'll be able to accommodate.
So don't worry about it. |
