Test Server

Hello...I love this program but it doesn't work on the test server.
Would anyone be kind enough to tell me how to set it up so it does?
I'm not very computer literate and need step by step instructions.
Thank you so much.

Setup for test server is identical to setup for live except the path is different.

create an eq2.ini in your testserver directory
for example:
C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\testserver\eq2.ini

make a subfolder of testserver\ui for your mods and put your mods in it
for example:
C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\testserver\ui\mymods\

When I create the eq2.ini file, it's just a yellow folder correct?

It must be a file, not a folder. Details on what must be in it can be found in the FAQ linked at the top of this page, but best follow the installation instructions of whatever mod you are trying to install.

Thank you. got it done..Now one last question (I hope)...when making the subfolder for my mods...what exactly do I put in it...I'm not sure if it is the ini file I just created or the actual eq2 maps program which is what I'm doing all of this for.

Thanks again for your help and patience.

EQ2maps auto-installs itself as far as I'm aware, you don'T need to do anything
